The architecture and the furnishings maintain the warm, welcoming air of this building, which for years was a popular meeting point with the families in the contrada, or neighbourhood.
Grandma Emma was very much the matriarch of the contrada, so when the decision was taken to turn the house into a hotel, the choice of name came naturally.
What the Chilese family wanted to do was to recreate a family atmosphere, an environment reminiscent of the community spirit typical of the traditional, old-style contrade; hence the superb blend of romantic, neo-country style furnishings and a wide range of modern facilities available to guests both in the bedrooms and in the common areas.
The hotel has 9 bedrooms, 3 singles, three doubles and three twin rooms, all of which have a private bathroom.
