Today Arzignano is a pleasant, modern city, thanks to its hardworking people.
The city lied near the Chiampo Valley, in the west of the province of Vicenza, and is famous for its tanneries and mechanical industries.
The town, which is surrounded by hills, is crossed by the Chiampo Torrent, from which the name of the valley derives. Further northwards, the valley is encircled by a ring of mountains which form one of the most spectacular landscapes in the Lessinia Natural Park.
